Slump

Medium: Slumped 3-D printed glass
Size: 48 x 12 x 8”
Made in conjunction with Evenline, an eponymous evenline print was slumped in the kiln. This piece invites viewers to explore the negative space it creates, encouraging them to question the process behind its formation. The piece is presented in a way that challenges expectations, as it is flipped from its original slumped position, prompting curiosity about the role of gravity in its creation. This unique presentation allows the viewer to appreciate the subtlety of how the glass was pulled and shaped in the kiln. The delicate folds and the thinness of the stretched glass become focal points, highlighting the interplay between form, material, and process.
